NTDroid project had made it to run Android OS on Nokia N900, and now NTDroid had made their way to use the latest android version Android 2.2 Froyo on N900. Android police has previously announced that Froyo can run four times faster that Android 2.1 Eclair.

The big question appeared whether Froyo can compete and run faster than Maemo OS ? The video footage which is labelled ‘kernel version 2.6.28-omap1 e-yes@maemo-sdk #33′, Froyo looked a bit slower that Maemo, besides NOT ALL Froyo features can run smoothly on Nokia N900.

As seen on Youtube video demo, Froyo on Maemo is not able to detect battery status, phone cell number as well as the network. The sound/audio can run well, but the ‘setting option’ doesn’t seem to welcome Froyo. “Sorry! The Application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again,” appeared on the smartphone’s screen. As a result N900 can not be set anymore via application setting.

It conclude that Froyo may run on N900, but it is NOT ALL THAT.
