Honeycomb Not Suitable for Smartphone ?
Android Honeycomb or 3.0 has been officially introduced by Google. Honeycomb was intentionally devoted to the tablets so it is natural if the question arises, will the OS ‘beehive’ could also be used for the smartphone? Google has not clearly determined whether Honeycomb could be used for smart phones. In a press conference launching Honeycomb, Google officials gave confusing statements when asked whether Honeycomb will be visited smartphone. In essence, they claimed to tablet is the main focus of Honeycomb.
“We really do not know. This topic is just beginning we talked about in internal circles. Much of what we created for Honeycomb will also be aimed at the smartphone, such as a visual theme,” said Hugo Bara from Google. As quoted from UnwiredVies last Friday, from some of the information collected from Google, the following three conclusions can be drawn, they were :
- Android 3.0 was likely not intended for smartphone mobile phone unless there were vendors who decided to use Google’s Honeycomb without interference.
- Some features in Honeycomb tablets will be presented also for smartphones. Maybe at the time of update version 2.x by Google Android.
- There was a possibility that this year, Google also will release Android 3.x that could be used well in the smartphone.
