Nokia Still Relies On MeeGo and Symbian

Nokia is committed to restore the glory in the realm of smartphones. Not only that, the Finnish mobile phone vendor is also planning to not using the operating system (OS) other than Symbian or Linux MeeGo. “I have a goal to ensure that Nokia still leads in the market and become intellectuals in creating the digital world,” wrote Head of Mobile Solution Nokia Anssi Vanjoki in a blog on the official website of Nokia.

He added that the first battle that must be able to pass by Nokia now is to bring the products and services desired by consumers.

Quoted from the Times of India, Friday (7/9/2010), Nokia’s profits and sales of smartphones in the world’s is getting weaken in the second quarter, with Apple’s iPhone as the toughest challenger. Vanjoki said, it would be a tough task to make the Nokia back to lead the smartphone market. But he is optimistic, Nokia has all the assets realizing it by using Symbian OS and MeeGo. “Symbian and MeeGo is the best software for our smart devices. Therefore, we do not plan to use other software,” he said.
