Form of Sympathy, Google Activated Tool to Track Chile’s Earthquake Victims

8.8 Richter Scale-magnitude earthquake that shook Chile last Saturday (27/2/2010) had taken many lives and had mad a lot of people separated from their relatives. As a form of sympathy, Google immediately enable the tool “person finder” to help the earthquake victims find friends or even their missing relatives. This tool that can be accessed at Chilepersonfinder.appspot.com, and is available in two languages, English and Spanish.

Users who use this tool will be presented with the question “What is your situation?” and there are two choice situations, “I’m looking for someone” and “I have information about someone” (I have info about a person). Then users can search data by typing the person’s name. This tool also been provided by Google to help search for earthquake victims in Haiti some times before.
