Dell made recent changes in their marketing strategies. The Texas-based companies based is currently forming a new image as a vendor for a cheaper alternative than his rival, Apple.

To that end, Dell admitted willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars for an advertising campaign aimed at the consumer business, coincided with the launch of new products. But Dell refused to say how much money spent for the campaign.

Dell will no longer consider the price as the only important aspect, said Paul-Henri Ferrand as Chief Marketing Officer for Consumer Dell’s global scope. Ferrand said Dell today wants to emphasize on the production of premium quality products, but with a more affordable price as an alternate choice of consumers.

Speaking about the new Dell products, Ferrand said one of them including the tablet with a screen measuring 10 inches, and soon will be released next week. Presumably, the launch of this tablet to be an answer to the insinuation that Apple CEO Steve Jobs said the tablets with a smaller screen size will be DOA aka dead on arrival. Will it be? Lets just wait and see
