Dell Leaks-Up Dell 7 Inch Tablet After Streak
There is a new one from Dell, the Chief Executive Michael Dell showing off a new tablet computer has a 7 inch screen. Dell hopes, these tablets can help the company earned revenues of over USD 60 billion this year. Dell tablet was introduced this week at Oracle OpenWorld conference held in San Francisco. Dell refused to mention further details of the latest devices, but little leaks on it, that the tablet is running with the Android operating system.
Earlier, last week Dell has released a Streak, a small tablet with a 5-inch screen. To expand market reach, Streak had previously sold only through Dell’s online store, and will be available at Best Buy’s online store starting next week. “Revenue grew about 20 percent over two quarters yesterday. And it seems, we want to create more growth in this quarter,” Dell said optimistically.
Quoted from ABC News on Thursday (23/09/2010), analysts expect Dell will achieve revenues of around USD 15.8 billion in the third quarter ended October. Thomson Reuters believes that this achievement will be 22 percent higher than last year. Meanwhile, Wall Street predicts Dell will report earnings of USD 62.4 billion for this fiscal year which ended in January.
Dell Next Androids 2.2 : Lightning, Thunder and Smoke About To Come ?
Rumors around Dell was appearing on crave.cnet. Three Androids phone labelled with Dell Smoke, Dell Thunder, and Dell Lightning. Dell Lightning and Thunder are designed in QWERTY slider, while Dell Smoke is designed in candybar QWERTY.

Dell Lightning is a 3G QWERTY handset with Full Flash Support. It has slides-up keyboard (commonly QWERTY are designed sideways) in 4.1 inch screen, which will be comfortable for some GPS necessity. Dell lightning is supported with 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5Mpx camera, and 1GB flash memory. Crave predicted that Dell Lightning will probably unveil by the end of 2010.
Featuring 8MPx camera and Android 2.1 OS, Dell Thunder will support an HSDPA for web surfing. Dell Thunder is said to have Dell’s own ‘stage’ to android 2.1 which will lead to a more attractive social-networking menus (like the one in Sony Ericsson X10).
The third kind of the trio is Dell Smoke which is designed in candybar – but still having QWERTY keyboard. Dell Smoke is the one which is said to run the next Android 2.2 OS. Dell Smoke is supported by 800MHz processor, 5 MPx camera and HSPA.
There’s no further official announcement of when will the three to be unveiled. So far it is rumored that the end of the year will be the date of the launching, along with the launching of Windows Phone 7
Dell to buy Perot Systems for $3.9 billion
Dell says it has agreed to buy the IT services company Perot Systems for about $3.9 billion as it looks to expand beyond the PC business.
The Round Rock, Texas-based Dell said Monday that it will offer $30 per share in cash for Perot, which is based in Plano, Texas, 200 miles away.

Dell said it expects to close the deal in the November-January quarter.
Dell said that Perot, founded by former presidential candidate Ross Perot, will expand the company’s IT services offerings and widen the pool of potential customers for its computers.
