Google eBookstoreToday is the first page in a new chapter of Google mission to improve access to the cultural and educational treasures we know as books. Google eBooks will be available in the U.S. from a new Google eBookstore.

You can browse and search through the largest ebooks collection in the world with more than three million titles including hundreds of thousands for sale. Find the latest bestsellers like James Patterson’s Cross Fire and Jonathan Franzen’s Freedom, dig into popular reads like Laura Hillenbrand’s Unbroken and catch up on the classics like Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities and Gulliver’s Travels.

iPad Second Generation Is Getting Closer to eBook ?

The success of iPad has urged the company to release iPad the second generation. The rumor around the iPad second generation came from a source in a technology manufacturs in Taiwan.

The company was said to received a lot of touchscreen order which predictedly to complete iPad. The source said that the new generation of iPad will have an 5,6 – 7 inch OLED touchscreen.

iPad new generation also rumored to be unveiled in the forth quarter this year.

As quoted from PC World last week, iPad second generation will ‘walk its path’ to eBook market, certainly different from the 9,7 inch screen which more focus on entertainment and multimedia features. Apple it self so far still has not made any official announcement about the rumor.

Viewsonic Will Launch eBook Reader VB620 and VB625

Viewsonic will soon launch ebook reader(s). The digital reader will be named as VEB620 and VEB625. Both VEB620 and VEB625 is available in black or white edition and supporting 2GB internal storage which is upgradable via as SD card slot. Some other file format supported is the XML file, HTML, PDF, TXT and RTF file formats. MP3 audio output is available through a 3.5mm headphone jack or an integrated 0.5W speaker.

But unlike Viewsonic VEB620, Viewsonic VEB625 already features 802.11b/g WiFi. The battery is able to last up tko 6,500 pages refreshes. Viewsonic VEB620 on the other hand, is having a longer battery life up tko 8,000 page refreshes. VEB625 also 38 grams heavier than VEB620. Right now VEB620 has 220 grams weight.

According to cnet.co.uk, Viewsonic VEB625 will be available for £205. While Viewsonic EB620 is going to be available in £175
