As written on softpedia last week, the successor of Windows 7 indeed had been arranged to appear within three years after. Microsoft stated that they will not repeat the long lag between Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Previously Mary-Jo Foley from Zdnet announced that microsoft has finished designing Milestone 1, a pioneer project to Windows 8. Unfortunately Microsoft it selft has not made any official statement.

FYI, a document on Windows 8 was leaked to public. In one of the document, releaved that Windows 8 will be focused on three kinds of gadgets : laptop, PC ‘all in one’, and slate/tablet. A Windows Store will also be built. This is going to be like Apple’s app store, or Google’s Android Market.

Android might be a new operation system, but according to an article published on detikINET, at least there are four ‘obliged’ apps that must be tried by android users. What are the four ?

1. Advanced Task Killer

Android had set it for default running the apps already accessed by user(s) even the apps already closed. As we all know running multi-tasking applicatin is not good for the phone’s performance. Advanced Task Killer is an app that function ‘killing’ other applications which is still running behind. This will certainly optimize our android’s performance

2. 3G Watch Dog

3G Watch Dog is internet bandwidth controller, it will also notify users on the bandwidth consumption. This app will specially benefit for those which buy/charge the internet bundling system.

3. Handcent SMS

Handcent SMS is made to redesign the display on SMS screen, just like the one seen on iPhone. Some interesting features like adding colors of adding some images on screen had made this app becoming interesting to use.

4. WC 2010 FotMob

Aha !! this app will certainly fit to those who’s been football addict. WC 2010 FotMob present various details on World Cup, from match schedules, players name, final score, plus detailed process on the on-going match. Not only that, users can also monitor the latest buzz from FIFA.com via RSS Feed

Android 2.2 Froyo `It`s Not That Good On Nokia N900`

NTDroid project had made it to run Android OS on Nokia N900, and now NTDroid had made their way to use the latest android version Android 2.2 Froyo on N900. Android police has previously announced that Froyo can run four times faster that Android 2.1 Eclair.

The big question appeared whether Froyo can compete and run faster than Maemo OS ? The video footage which is labelled ‘kernel version 2.6.28-omap1 e-yes@maemo-sdk #33′, Froyo looked a bit slower that Maemo, besides NOT ALL Froyo features can run smoothly on Nokia N900.

As seen on Youtube video demo, Froyo on Maemo is not able to detect battery status, phone cell number as well as the network. The sound/audio can run well, but the ‘setting option’ doesn’t seem to welcome Froyo. “Sorry! The Application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again,” appeared on the smartphone’s screen. As a result N900 can not be set anymore via application setting.

It conclude that Froyo may run on N900, but it is NOT ALL THAT.
