Limera1n has been introduced to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4 3GS, iPod Touch 4G 3G and iOS 3.2.2. The release is buggy as admitted by himself and is even beta. The true and trusted hackers haven’t advised to make use of limera1n since it is even based mostly on a stolen piece of exploit from @comex.
It has long been only introduced for Windows and there isn’t a version for MAC OSX and Linux but an intention continues to be confirmed.

The jailbreak for iPod Touch OS 3.1.2 is finally here, and from none other than George Hotz who has been jailbreaking the iPhone since it was first launched. Called blackra1n, this Windows only jailbreak tool works for all iPhones ( 2G, 3G and 3GS ) as well as iPod Touch 2G and 3G. A word of caution from George for iPhone Jailbreakers though:
Warning 3g and 3gs unlockers, do not upgrade to 3.1.2 using iTunes if you want to keep your unlock. Baseband cannot be downgraded. Check out the dev team’s offerings. Also blackra1n doesn’t hacktivate.
