In addition, they also had their netbook in pocket, no wonder Asus feels optimistic to try their luck in tablet PCs industry. Quoted from Digitimes on Monday, Asus has planned to launch 5 variants of tablet PCs as well.

Digitimes also reported that Asus Tablet PCs will be varied in the Specifications and the operating system. For example, the four tablet PC that consists of two models of 7 inches and 9 inches. All four of these products will be launched in March 2011, and each will be equipped with a connection via WiFi, 3.5G and has some mobile phone functions. In addition, one 9-inch model that will be launched later will use ARM processor coupled with the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), Nvidia Tegra 2. For the operating system, Asus is reportedly going to adopt the latest Android.

For the top model, Asus is preparing a tablet pc measuring 12 inches. These products will use the windows operating systems and Intel processor. Purportedly, Asus is also pinned some of ‘special-touch-technology’ to support their ‘smooth-move’ navigation

Computer Had Made Teenagers Hard To Read and Count

A study in United States of America (USA) stated that the computer using among teenagers will weaken the math and reading capability. As quoted from Sunday Telegraph yesterday, the National Bureau of Economic Research found that computer will result the contra-productive among students achievement.

The research involved 500.000 students. The report mentioned that introducing computer(s) to ten years old will not do any good to theĀ  students math and reading. Jacob Vigdor, one of the researcher said that computer acces started five or eight years tend to show the score decreasing in math and reading.

Vigdor claimed the computer had made children becoming hard to focus, lack of socializing ability and caused children to play games a lot.

Anyhow the research summarized that the parents control over children is needed to minimize the negative effects of the using. The parents control will benefit a lot for children, Vidgor added.

Sharp is Preparing Two eBook Readers by the End of Year

Sharp these days is more known as a TV manufacture, now Sharp is beginning to enter the eBook reader device. The Tokyo-Japan based company is currently working on two models of eBook Readers that can be used to watch the video and listening to audio contents. In addition, Sharp is also preparing eBook distribution service.

Second Reader eBooks are still in the prototype stage and reportedly soon will be launched near the end of 2010 this year. One of them will have a 5.5 inch screen and the other with a larger 10.8-inch screen. Both are equipped with color touch screen feature.

As quoted from the Good eReader website yesterday, Sharp eBooks will use the XMDF format. This format is very popular and widely used in Japan for its ability to bridge the gap between the text and format to view video content. “Latest XMDF lets users more easily see digital content including video and audio, and there is automatic adjustment for the layout in order to match the needs of publishers,” said one senior executive of Sharp, Masami Obatake. Obatake added that the e-publishing business is very attentive these days. So it is considered the launch of two devices and distribution service of Sharp eBooks later this year will be a very appropriate time.
