iPhone and iPad is probably one of the most shining gadget this year, but the absence of Flash in both iPhone and iPad has come to a BIG question upon. Answering the question(s) Apple has its own reason.

As quoted from Icrontic last Friday, Steve Jobs of Apple revealed one among the reasons is because FLASH takes too much battery consumption. The energy was taken because Flash is using an old version of the existing decoder, while today a more-advanced decoder has been available in H.264. But that is not the prominent reason putting FLASH be unavailable in app store.

Jobs considered that FLASH is not everything. When many people think that loosing FLASH in loosing everything, that is completely untrue. The fact is there are a lot of video made based on H.264, not by FLASH. Security was another reason of not using FLASH, in 2009 Symantec revealed that Flash is said as bringing disaster fo Mac. It was indicated that some ‘wicked programs’ were claimed as deliberately attacked via Flash. Besides Steve Jobs added that Flash was designed NOT for touchscreen, Jobs said that Flash was designed for keyboard-and-mouse interface, and not for touchscreen like iPhone or iPad. Therefore Apple decided to choose CSS, HTML5 and Javascript rather that FLASH.
