Microsoft Kin : World`s First Smartphone with Energy-Saving Chip

Microsoft Kin, the latest smartphone of Microsoft is becoming the world’s first smartphone which is using Tegra. Tegra a an energy-saving chip from Nvidia. Chip Tegra has been unveiled to public since two years ago and has only been used by Zune HD, digital music player which also labeled by Microsoft. Nvidia so far is well-known for it’s speciality in dealing with graphics. The launching of Tegra is expected to compete the domination of Qualcomm, Texas Instruments and Intel.

Further information, Nvidia has even claimed that Tegra Chip offers an excellent graphics ability and saving energy. According to Bruce Chan, Nvidia public speaker, installing Tegra to smartphone is certainly NOT an easy thing to do, it took times to design and install it to handset (like Microsoft Kin). Microsoft Kin has recently announced by Microsoft San Francisco, USA. Two types were presented, Kin One and Kin Two.

Kin One shaped smaller than Kin Two. Kin One and Kin Two are designed in sliding keyboard and is deliberately made for those who’s active in social network like Facebook and Twitter. Microsoft Kin was previously known as Project Pink, and using chip Tegra APX 2600 which supports high quality multimedia graphic in 720 high-def video playback and recording.
