Sharp is Preparing 3D Android Phone

Ever hear of android tablet prepared Sharp Android? Yes, there are two tablets are being prepared, the Galapagos 003SH and 005SH. Both will take you to the world of three-dimensional (3D).

Sharp said to view 3D content in the tablet that also functions as a cell phone with the naked eye alias without special glasses needed. Both tablets provided 1GHz Snapdragon CPUs, operating systems Android 2.2 and 3.8-inch screen with 3D capabilities as well as resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Reported by Mashable , there are some major differences between these two android tablet-phone. For the type 005SH, there will be QWERTY keyboard. While the 003SH series does not have QWERTY yet but equipped with better cameras, with a 9.6 megapixel model that can record 720p video. To 005SH, only 8 megapixel camera.

The launch of the two tablets will be different. For the Galapagos 003SH will be coming soon from December 2010, while the Galapagos 005SH followed in February next year. Pricing tag offered is not yet confirmed.

Sharp is Preparing Two eBook Readers by the End of Year

Sharp these days is more known as a TV manufacture, now Sharp is beginning to enter the eBook reader device. The Tokyo-Japan based company is currently working on two models of eBook Readers that can be used to watch the video and listening to audio contents. In addition, Sharp is also preparing eBook distribution service.

Second Reader eBooks are still in the prototype stage and reportedly soon will be launched near the end of 2010 this year. One of them will have a 5.5 inch screen and the other with a larger 10.8-inch screen. Both are equipped with color touch screen feature.

As quoted from the Good eReader website yesterday, Sharp eBooks will use the XMDF format. This format is very popular and widely used in Japan for its ability to bridge the gap between the text and format to view video content. “Latest XMDF lets users more easily see digital content including video and audio, and there is automatic adjustment for the layout in order to match the needs of publishers,” said one senior executive of Sharp, Masami Obatake. Obatake added that the e-publishing business is very attentive these days. So it is considered the launch of two devices and distribution service of Sharp eBooks later this year will be a very appropriate time.
