YouTube Will Soon Visit Android Froyo
Google will soon release YouTube application for Android version 2.2 Froyo. Applications for the video-sharing site is reportedly will come with a number of interesting features for the Android Frozen Yogurt.
The interesting feature in question, among others, is a web page that allows users to read the comments while watching videos. An additional feature is to play the video into fullscreen and personalized- display screen.
As quoted from the IT ProPortal on Monday, users can also upload videos directly from the application and not upload them separately. YouTube service can also be enjoyed via Google Buzz, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. YouTube standalone application for Android 2.2, is said will allow Google to release an application update in the future.
Google Is Working On Google Instant For Mobile
Google’s newly launched Google Instant, was favored by many users. Respond to this case, Google plans to create a mobile version for the instant search machine . In fact, Google claims to have a high cost building Google Instant. In addition, it takes too much computing software and hardware resources. But anyway, to please its users, Google is no doubt working on the Google Instant for mobile.
Senior Vice President of Product Management for Google, Jonathan Rosenberg stated that Google’s Instant Search is not just created to make money. “From the point resource perspective, this is actually very expensive” as reported by eWEEK and quoted on Wednesday. But Rosenberg refused to explain how much the cost. While other Google spokesman said only, to make Google’s instant, this internet giant had to buy additional computer servers to make Google Instant can smoothly work.
Google also built a system to control the paging system to which Google Instant show results in proportion as relevant as possible. Now, Google Instant team is working hard to bring quick search engine technology from the desktop to mobile devices. Rosenberg also promised that Google Instant for mobile version is coming soon for Android phones, Blackberry and the iPhone this fall.
Android Goes Gigantic, Symbian Still Rules
No doubt, the hegemony of Android operating systems continue growing massively in the smartphone realm, but that does not mean Symbian to evicted from the throne, they were still in power.
According to Liu Lin, Director of Marketing Strategy Department of ZTE Corporation in Research & Development Center, ZTE in Shanghai, China, though Android is growing rapidly in the last two years especially in European and American markets, but the competition in today’s mobile OS market is fairly tight. The players can not keep quiet and continue to innovate by doing an upgrade version of previous products.
Liu added that in the world of handheld devices there is no necessity to use a particular OS, all released to each vendor. But we do not deny that Android has been chosen by smartphone maker. Symbian is currently predicted still control about 30 percent of the smartphone market. Nokia with Symbian OS is considered still outperformed Android, Apple, and BlackBerry are located in the second layer. ZTE predicted the Android market will continue to grow larger than now.
