Few months ago LG has claimed that they have made the world’s thinnest LCD TV with their 6mm thick – or thin – LCD monitor television. But today LG has made a new world record, breaking it’s own achievement – Well at least that’s what LG claimed.

This ultra-thin panel LCD TV is featuring only 2,6 mm thin. LG said the company has applied a ‘multiple slimming’ technologies for that. The technology is applied on it’s ultra-slim appearance, edge-lit LED backlight system and in the panel’s proprietary optical film.

There’s no further details about this panel, but LG will unveil the product in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas which will be started on January 5th 2010.
