Windows Phone 7 OS has been officially launched by Microsoft. Although devoted to smart phones, it is not possible that Windows Phone 7 OS (WP7) OS to be adopted to tablets, considering tablets is currently a trend?

Responding to questions, a Microsoft official claimed there are no firm plans WP7 will present on the tablet. WP7 only focused on the smartphone. Greg Sullivan, Senior Product Manager of Microsoft revealed that so far WP7 is designed for small devices such as smartphones, and do not work properly on the screen of the tablet. For tablets, greater reliance like Microsoft Windows 7 will work best. Tablet PCs need a capability Microsoft which has a printing and networking capabilities are stronger than the WP7.

Although Microsoft is still denying the possibility of WP7 tablet, the mobile OS is still considered to have potential for tablet arm. According to Ross Rubin, NPD analyst of technology, the user interface is ideal for tablet WP7.

Rubin expected, Microsoft today is just like WP7 focuses on the mobile phone market. Maybe in the future, there is a new tablet-based products WP7. “Mobile is the world’s largest gadget category. It’s important for Microsoft to show of force here, and it would be their priority,” concludes Rubin as quoted from Computerworld
